EXPLANATION:

Ive been getting alot of comments lately about how different my work is now than is used to be.
Previously my work was more dark, less considered and pretty random. When i got back from traveling last year I was in a bad place in my mind and my work took a much darker turn. I was busy trying to find something to grasp onto and keep me going. Eventually it clicked to combine two of my passions. My love of art, and my love (and concern) for the Environment. Since then it has become my saviour. The thing I needed to help me heal after my travels and give me a goal and purpose for the future.

I know many people don't like the change in my work. Preferring the darker, more 'gothy' stuff. But this is me, this is what I need.

And that's my explanation.

I like your new stuff. It has a lot more individuality to it, a lot more personality. I did like you're darker stuff, but this stuff is just as good be far.
And if its what you're more comfortable with, then all the better!

cheers sam :)
I think some people are just a little too stuck in their 'scene' to see beyond it.
But whatever. Thanks again :)

Hey Aramas!
I LOVE your work. And particularly your new stuff. Someone has to take notice of what's going on, right? That's why I'm painting some animals at the moment, to get people to 'see' them.
And anyway: Paint what YOU want to paint, and stuff anyone who doesn't like it!
I think some people just like to voice the fact that they don't like something, just because they think the world revolves around them and you should be painting FOR them.
I like what you said:
Some people are just a little too stuck in their 'scene' to see beyond it.
OH, SO TRUE!!

Exactly. Its so fashionable now to be green. But no one really 'see's' it do they.
So we try and do a little something, it may not be a big something in the end, but its something. And its better than nothing.
And thank you so much for your comments!
Keep doing what you love doing! If people dont understand or arent interested, so be it. Your a better person in the end for your efforts.
