Onwards!

tomorrow I finally leave for Helsinki.
Ive spent the last week doing some volunteer work at an exotic animal refuge It was great to see the work there and the animals. My fav of course were the lynxes and ocelots. Though I was really surprised by how small the Lynx is! Cant upload any photos at the moment :(

So its back to the hostel life for me. Im so very very glad to be leaving Britain though. And Im hoping like mad that Im gonna be warm enough in Scandinavia.

Also If any one is in Brisbane I have about 10 works up at KILN for their Illustrators show starting October 3. If anyone does go please get some piccies for me as I wont be there.

I remember now why i dont like London. its too damn big! too many people.
At the very last minute I decided not to take my eeepc with me, and now Im regretting it! Im not a technophile, it would just make things alot easier!(ie actually putting photos up, and maybe even having something to do in the evenings. But its probly better i didnt, cos I wouldve been paranoid about it getting damaged. At least thats what Im telling myself.le sigh

The weather is actually really nice here at the moment, just getting round in jeans and a shirt. Im sure that will change once i get to helsinki. Went to the london zoo today and it was quite depressing. Tis a rather old zoo, but they are upgrading it to improve the conditions of the animals. At least I finally got to see a serval!.
The Natural History Museum is awesome!
Im not really much of a gallery goer, but figure I should seeing as Im here. Picasso put it well "we have invented nothing new" all the amzing work and style Ive drooled over recently, its all been done before and how many of us actually realised it.
And wow! those 15th 16th century artists sure had some demons!

A week and a half and Im gone for 3 months!

I finished that piece that was making me yawn alot. The photo sucks as its really hard to get good shots of stuff behind glass (or in this case in between).

theres actually 3 layers of transparent paper with different parts of the drawing on them. And metal etched corner pieces. Next time I think I'll go with a different kind of paper, more transparent.

I think Im almost out of juice, the creative kind. Been so busy lately Im just exhausted. Bt its great too!
